Backgrounds of Our Participants
In this linguistic minorities project, we are happy to invite three participants- Tessie, Geeta and Ahmad- to join our discussion and sharing about linguistics issues of minorities in Hong Kong nowadays. Even though they are from three different countries- Philippines, India and Pakistan, they are all the First Generation immigrants who came to Hong Kong. Having staying in this little city for more than three decades, they have all found this own way of life and decided to settle in this city with their families. We are thrilled to talk to them and listen to their own tales relating to their language experiences in Hong Kong. The data is collected mainly by interviews with our speically tailor-made interview questions.
